  3. . CHANHU-DARO: sirnated on the right bank of River Indus, south of imohen-jo- daro. Excavated by M.G.Majumdar in 1931. . The city was flooded thrice. . It is the only Indus valley site without a citadel . Only stones and no bricks were used Image of male dancer resebling Lord Shiva was found here. . An object called ink-pot meant for storing the writing materials was found.

  4. KALIBANGAN Situated on the banks of river Ghaghar in rajasthan. Was excavated by Dr. A. Ghosh. It witnessed both Proto- harappan and harappan culture. . It was an important site for bangles manufacture. . Fire altars suggesting worship of agni have been found here. o No evidence of worship of other goddess. . Only city without toilets and bathrooms. Biggest cultivated land in the entire pre-historic era. Camel skeletons found. . Cist burial or brick chambered burial.

  5. BANWALI: . Located on the bank of river Saraswati in Haryana . Both proto-harappan and harappan stages witnessed . Extensive cultivation of Barley was evident for the Excavated by Dr. Bist. here. first time.

  6. LOTHAL: . Located on the banks of cambay in gujarat. . Excavated by S.R.Rau. . It is the first known/earliest sea port in Indian History with an artificially built naval dockyard. . First to cultivate rice by 1800 B.C. Major centre of trade and commerceespecially with persia. Big Jar with beautiful painting depicting the story of a cunning jackal has been found here.
