What are Marsquakes?
What are Marsquakes? A marsquake is a quake that occurs on the planet Mars. A recent study suggests that marsquakes occur every million years.
For the most part, earthquakes on our planet occur becaus of plate tectonics, the mechanics that occur as the plates that make up Earthls outer shell glide over the mantle.
But Mars doesn't have a fragmented outer shell like Earth does. So how does it still have quakes?
But these vibrations, in comparison to Earth's, are very small. Scientists say that as the seismic waves travel through the planet, they actually pick up information along the way.
