JEE refers to the Joint Entrance Examination. It is a national level exam conducted by the National Testing Agency. The exam has two levels – Main and Advanced. Applicants must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the exam first, failing which they cannot apply for JEE.
Candidates who wish to pursue a career as an engineer can take admission in undergraduate engineering courses after qualifying the JEE exam. Candidates have to clear the JEE Main exam in order to take the JEE Advanced exam. While the JEE Main is conducted for admission into various National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other institutions in the country, the JEE Advanced is conducted for admission into the premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Candidates must be aware of the syllabus of the exam in order to qualify for all the levels of the examination. The JEE syllabus includes Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
To strengthen their preparation, candidates must solve question papers, since doing so helps them analyse their level of preparation, comprehension, and speed. In addition, it helps candidates identify their core areas of strength and weakness. The previous year’s question papers can be downloaded from the official website of Unacademy.
