JEE Advanced exam pattern is available here for the students. The candidates need to read the JEE Advanced exam pattern thoroughly before appearing for the final exam. The exam pattern is set and published by the exam conducting authority. They give all the details in the JEE brochure. IIT Bombay is the exam conducting body of the JEE Advanced. It is good for the candidates from the preparation point of view that the JEE Advanced exam pattern is more or less the same every year with small changes.

For better preparation for the JEE Advanced exam, the candidates should have a clear understanding of how the exam is conducted and how the JEE Advanced paper is set. Knowing the JEE Advanced paper and pattern of paper will allow the aspirants to know detailed information on various things. Let’s look at the overview first –

JEE Advanced Exam Pattern Details

As per the latest announcement made on the official website, the following examination pattern for the JEE Advanced exam will be followed.

  1. The JEE Advanced examination will take place in CBT mode only
  2. JEE (Advanced) would consist of three-hour question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2, it is necessary to take both papers
  3. Every question paper will be divided into three sections: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  4. All question papers will include questions meant to assess applicants’ understanding, reasoning, and analytical abilities
  5. For some of the questions, wrong responses may result in negative marks
  6. The question papers will be available in both English and Hindi, which candidates will be able to select and change, and in the event of a disagreement, the English version will take precedence
  7. A candidate’s aggregate marks in JEE (Advanced) will be the sum of the marks granted to the applicant in the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

Exam pattern for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) for B.Arch. program

  1. Only candidates who have passed JEE (Advanced) 2022 are qualified to take AAT 2022
  2. The examination will consist of one three-hour paper
  3. The AAT examination paper will only be offered in English
