MHT CET

MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Government of Maharashtra’s State Common Entrance Test Cell. 

The exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture in colleges in the state of Maharashtra.

MHT CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the MHT CET 2024 exam should check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The detailed MHT CET eligibility criteria can be checked below

For Maharashtra State Candidates 

  • Candidates must have passed class 12/appearing in class 12 in 2024
  • Candidate should have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one subject among Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/Business Studies in class 12
  • Candidate must obtain at least 45% marks in class 12. Candidates belonging to the backward class, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability category should obtain at least 40 % marks in class 12

Non-Maharashtra Candidates

  • Candidates who are not from Maharashtra are also eligible to appear in MHT CET.
  • However, they may or may not appear in MHT CET as the score of JEE Main will be preferred over MHT CET 2024 for admission to B.E./B.Tech. Also, MHT CET reservation policies are not applicable to candidates not belonging to Maharashtra.
