The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET or AP EAPCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). This test is required for admission to various professional programmes offered by universities and private colleges across the state of Andhra Pradesh. 

Ever since the state of Andhra Pradesh was reorganised, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) handed the job of administering the Entrance Examination of the State “AP EAMCET” to JNTUK. The APSCHE entrusted the JNTUK with conducting the AP EAMCET twice (in 2015 and 2016) in offline mode and five times in virtual mode (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021).

Within a short span of its establishment, the JNTUK successfully conducted the ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders) consecutively for 4 years for the formerly undivided state of Andhra Pradesh, consistently raising the quality with every passing year. 

The novel examination format set by the JNTUK, deployment of technology in the assessment process, and timely release of results enable candidates to write the AP EAPCET exam without difficulty every year, including in 2021. 

Most recently, the JNTUK has decided to publish the OMR answer sheets on the University website during the ranks declaration’ process for ensuring greater transparency in the admission process.
