Benefits of New Exam Pattern 2023
- The NTA claims that the new pattern will assist pupils in the ways listed below
- After their initial effort, students will get several chances to increase their exam grades. They won’t lose their entire academic year
- Students will have first-hand experience with the JEE Main test when they attempt it for the first time. They can then review their errors, make the necessary corrections, and retake the test
- No worries regarding dropping a year exist for students. Droppers wouldn’t have to squander a whole year, either
- Students who cannot complete the exam for unavoidable circumstances do not need to wait a year to take the subsequent exam. The test may be taken in the next session. Additionally, to create the merit list, only the top NTA scores from the two tests will be considered

- Candidates will be given slots to come to the centres, according to NTA Director Vineet Joshi. To ensure that the entrance process runs well, applicants must adhere to their assigned time slots and show up exclusively during those times.
- Candidates must present the JEE Main 2020 application card and identification to attend the testing facility. Other objects are not permitted within the exam centre.
- The examination room will not permit the entry of any luggage.
- When they enter the test room, candidates should maintain their social distance and occupy their assigned seats.
- Candidates may bring their geometry set, coloured pencils, and crayons for Paper 2. Watercolours are not permitted.
- The candidates will receive a piece of blank paper, a pen, and a pencil for preliminary work. However, the form must be handed back to the examiners following the exam. The candidate’s name and roll number should also be written on the top of the draught paper.
- Applicants should make sure their signatures and photographs are correctly attached before arriving. There shouldn’t be any smudging of the thumbprint.
