The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE) is conducted every year for the admission of candidates in the courses like B.Tech, B.Plan, B.Arch in IITs, and other prominent institutions in India. The JEE Advanced which took place on 24th May, 2015 was conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The examination consisted of 2 papers of 3 hours each. The examination included three subjects – Physics, Mathematics, and Physics. There were 2 papers namely Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 took place from 9 AM to 12 PM and Paper 2 took place from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The difficulty level of the Physics section was from moderate to difficult. The questions were from different topics such as Dimensional Analysis, Ray Optics, Modern Physics, Magnetism, and Electrostatics. The difficulty level of the Chemistry section was at a moderate level. The questions were asked from Physical Chemistry, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry. The questions asked in the Mathematics section were from easy to moderate levels. The questions entailed lengthy calculations. The topics that were covered are Coordinate Geometry, Algebra, Calculus, and Vector Algebra.
