hiii sir I have one doubt it is said that in eukaryotic cell the DNA is located in nucleus as well as in some organelles like mitochondria and plastids so sir my question if DNA is located in nucleus, mitochondria, and plastids so sir how many DNA are present in one cell???? can we 2 in case of animals in i.e in nucleus as well as mitochondria...

See, the thing is, Mitochondria is self sustained body, you can call it as a self sustaining body in a cell, it's a complete thing, with it's own DNA and ribosomes. Similar thing with chloroplast ! So, there's no such issue. Now, try answering your query yourself. You will get it.

Sir as we know that DNA is present in mitochondria as well as in nucleus so which DNA will get inherited from parent to the child mitochondrial or nuclear DNA..? 😞😞
Pranav Pundarik

That's a beautiful question. do you know, all the mitochondria any human, male or female comes from it's mother. See, nuclear Gene is the main thing that defines everything. Consider it as central govt, and mitochondrial and chloroplast are separate entities, working with the cell, say them local bodies. Hope it's clear.

means that the mitochondrial DNA will get inherited from mother...

and not from father

and again it is said that each cell has 46 chromosomes and from one each chromosomes one double stranded DNA will get formed and hence I can say that in all there will be total 46 double stranded DNA in one cell but sir the thing is that there are two locations in cell where our DNA is present i.e one in mitochondria and other is nucleus so I want to ask that if 46 chromosomes are presen one cell so sir Can I say or not that in mitochondria there are total 46 chromosomes and in nucleus also there are total 46 chromosomes in a single cell am I right or not?? means there is one single cell and in that cell 46 chromosomes will be present in nucleus and 46 in mitochondria but in a single cell I'm saying

Hold on. Don't get confused. The 46 chromosomes, i.e. 23 pairs we talk about is nuclear chromosome number, mitochondrial number is not counted. And and, chromosome do not exist normally, it's basically condensed DNA that takes form at the time of Cell Cycle. Is it clear now?

and sir again it is said that in prokaryotic cell DNA is located in cytoplasm and not in nucleus as it is not an member bound organelle and my question is that will happen if there is no membrane and if DNA will be present in that membrane less organelles.
Payal Rathod

my question is that what will happen*

Is any membrane less organelle, mind it organelle is having such condition? Not yet discovered.

Sir how many proteins gets formed from single mrna after translation??? one translation will give one protein or many?
Payal Rathod

hii Sir as there are 46 chromosomes in a single cell of our body and each chromosomes will form a dsDNA and from that DNA mRNA is formed by DNA transcription so sir if there are total 46 dsDNA in a cell so can I say that there will be total 46 single stranded mrna will get formed through DNA transcription to form proteins in our body....or not??? plzzzz explain

You are getting very much confused. I will.make it clear, but do one thing at first, go through the full course on Molecular basis of Inheritance and Cell cycle and division. And when you Complete them, drop a comment. As it's a bit messed up for you, as it looks as of now, do this and get back ! I will make sure you won't have any doubts in this then.

Sry to say,, but really u r good with whole a branch of biology genetics... yhhh biomolecules is a easy topic, still it's my kind request to u can u plzz make a course on it .. as I really don't want to have single doubt in this base topic..

Hey Ashlesha, that's in my checklist. I will add that too shortly. half of the biomolecules part, that is, the enzyme part is there in Plant Physiology course. and rest I will upload :)
My opinion about DNA of Mitochondria is that.. they only code for the functions that are performed inside the mitochondria.. Because every DNA performs only those functions for what they code for.. so, mitochondrial DNA does not code for the functions like transfer of gene from parents to offsprings.. AM I RIGHT SIR🙄
thank you sir but 1 editorial reh gya sir *Lateral Entry* wala. sir editorial k sath mention kr diya karo konse gs paper k sath related hai editorial.

  5. The story described how Geeta was "taunted, insulted and physically harassed at school, home and on the street, just because I talked and behaved like a woman." A decade later, the State is a different place. The socio-cultural landscape has changed to tolerate an increasing visibility of TGls, with the result that those who had fled the State are returning. Newspaper headlines recently on TGls getting driving licences, two people getting college admission under the TGl quota, separate washrooms at Maharaja's College, and even the State government paying 2 lakh for a sex change surgery. UBHODEEP

  6. In the past, unlike in Tamil Nadu and many of the north Indian States where the Aravaani-hijira community has had a social space and specific roles to play - in Kerala, TGls were near-invisible. The truth, however, is that social hostility forced them to either leave the State while in their teens, end their lives, or lead a subhuman life until death. For TGls, Kerala was the worst State to be in. So, in the span of a decade, how did society in Kerala transform itself from being hostile to being grudgingly accommodative? It's the result of a strong political will, UBHODEEP

  7. The 'State Policy for Transgenders in Kerala 2015', which aimed to provide the "right to live with dignity" reflected this political will The previous government (Oommen Chandy) and the current government (Pinarayi Vijayan) walked the extra mile to implement the policy. Kochi Metro set an example by allotting a jobs quota. Village and district panchayats and municipalities have been tasked with finding jobs, running special training and skills programmes and welfare projects Police harassment has fallen drastically.
