CLASS 12 PHYSICS

In this article we will learn about the syllabus of physics for class 12 and get familiar with it.

Table of Content
  •

Physics is one of the most significant courses for a decent mark on the CBSE Class 12th Board exams in 2022, as well as most competitive tests in medicine and engineering. Physics is one of the disciplines in Class 12 that can assist students get full marks and raise their overall percentage in order to appear for exams like JEE, Main 2022, NEET 2022 and CUCET 2022. To prepare successfully for the CBSE Class 12 board examinations and the mentioned competitive tests, students must have a thorough comprehension of all 15 chapters in the Class 12 Physics textbook.

Index of class 12 physics

Chapter 1- Electric Charges and Fields

When you take off your synthetic or woollen clothing in dry weather, you’ve probably seen a spark or heard a crackling. Do you have any idea why this happens? This occurs as a result of the discharge of electric charges from our bodies or in technical terms, the formation of static electricity. Charges and fields of electricity.

Chapter 2- Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance

The potential owing to charges and capacitance are the main ideas in Chapter 2 of class 12 physics. You can relate the concepts of this Chapter to mechanics if you remember mechanics concepts, such as potential energy is equivalent to electric potential energy, mechanical dipole is equivalent to electric dipole, and so on.

Chapter 3- Current Electricity

The current electricity class 12 begins with the study of charge motion in a steady state before moving on to the study of charge rate, Ohm’s law, and Kirchoff’s law. The notion of measuring devices such as the Wheatstone bridge, potentiometer, ammeter and voltmeter is also introduced in this chapter.

Chapter 4- Moving Charges and Magnetism

In a nutshell, you’ll learn how a charged particle or current-carrying wire reacts to a magnetic field. You’ll also learn how current can create a magnetic field.

Chapter 5- Magnetism and Matter

Matter and magnetism: The earth’s magnetism, as well as magnetic materials and their properties, are discussed in NCERT solutions. With a magnetic field oriented from south to north, the earth acts like a magnet. The properties of bar magnets are also covered in this Physics class 12 NCERT.

Chapter 6- Electromagnetic Induction

A current-carrying conductor in a magnetic field can produce a force, according to Chapter 4 of class 12 physics. We study a moving conductor in a magnetic field that can produce a current in electromagnetic induction class 12 notes pdf.

Chapter 7- Alternating Current

Do you understand why most electronics use AC rather than DC voltages? The ease with which one type of voltage can be converted into another (higher voltage to lower or vice versa) using transformers is one of the key arguments for preferring AC over DC. In addition, when compared to DC, AC has lower energy losses.

Chapter 8- Electromagnetic Waves

The last Chapter of NCERT book part 1 for class 12 physics comprises 10 questions and 5 bonus questions, with all of the answers available by clicking the Chapter link. The electro-magnetic properties of light are introduced, as well as certain adjustments to various laws explored in prior Chapters.

Chapter 9- Ray Optics and Optical Instruments

The notion of light reflection, refraction and dispersion is introduced in Chapter 9 of the physics NCERT book for class 12 by imagining light as a ray. You’ll learn how various reflecting surfaces (planes, convex or concave mirrors, etc.) and refracting surfaces (convex or concave lens) create images of various things.

Chapter 10- Wave Optics

By understanding light as a wave, this chapter of NCERT class 12 describes refraction and reflection. In addition, the concepts of interference, diffraction and polarisation of light are introduced in Chapter wave optics. There are a total of 10 questions in this chapter, plus an additional 11 questions.

Chapter 11- Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter

The dual nature of radiation and matter is discussed in Chapter 11 of the Physics NCERT book. It also describes the photoelectric effect and the effects of light intensity and potential on the photoelectric current. The photoelectric effect proves that radiation is particle-like, while phenomena like interference, diffraction and polarisation show that matter and radiation are wave-like.

Chapter 12- Atoms

Atoms class 12 NCERT introduces several atom models and their benefits and drawbacks, as well as various line spectrum series of the Hydrogen atom, frequency, wavelength and atomic energy.

Chapter 13- Nuclei

You’ll be surprised to learn that an atom’s nucleus contains 99.9% of its mass. There are 22 questions and 9 bonus questions in this chapter and you can find step-by-step NCERT solutions for class 12 physics here.

Chapter 14- Semiconductor Electronics

The 14th Chapter of the NCERT class 12 physics book focuses on semiconductors and their applications. This chapter will also introduce you to basic and significant semiconductor-based devices, such as diodes and transistors.

CONCLUSION

It is not a simple chore to answer the questions in textbooks. To solve those issues, you’ll need a lot of work and mathematical and logical skills. Understanding class 12 physics is important for higher education as well as to pursue other fields related to science.

Ans:

TV broadcasts from air earth stations must be reflected back to the ground via an artificial satellite since television signals are not reflected by the ionosphere layer of the atmosphere.

They are completely internally reflected, first at the face AB and then at the face BC, resulting in the final image.

P′Q′P′Q′.

Ans:

A person who is myopic or hypermetropia does not necessarily have a partial lack of accommodation ability in their eyes. Myopia occurs when the eyeballs lengthen from front to back and hypermetropia happens when the eyeballs shorten from front to back.

Presbyopia, on the other hand, is a condition in which the eye lens loses its capacity to adapt itself fully.

Ans:

The release of energy in a nuclear reaction is explained as follows: Because the amount of protons and neutrons in a nuclear reaction is preserved, the total rest mass of neutrons and protons on both sides of the nuclear reaction is the same.

However, the total binding energy of nuclei on the left and right sides do not have to be the same. The difference in binding energy causes the reaction to release energy.
