Generally, there are two or three-column present in the frequency table. The first column normally contains all of the outcomes as individual values or as class intervals, depending on the size of the data collection. In the second column, the tally marks for each outcome are listed. The frequency of each outcome can be noted down in the third column. The second column is also optional.

The frequency of something reflects how frequently it occurs. In normal circumstances, your heart rate is 72 beats per minute. The frequency of a value is the total number of times it occurs in an event.

How to construct frequency distribution table:-

Using the procedures outlined below, we can easily create a frequency distribution table:-

Step 1:- Create a table with two columns: one for the title of the data you’re organizing, and another for frequency.

Step 2:- Determine whether you want to construct an ungrouped frequency distribution table or a grouped frequency distribution table based on the items written in the data. If there are too many different values, the grouped frequency distribution table is usually the superior option.

Step 3:- In the first column, write the values data set values.

Step 4:- Note down the total number of times each item appears in the collected data of an event. To put it another way, count the number of times each item appears.

Step 5:-  In the second column Put the frequency for each Observation.

Step 6:- Finally, in the table’s last row, you can enter the overall frequency.

FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION TABLE FOR GROUPED DATA:-

The continuous frequency distribution table is another name for the frequency distribution table for grouped data. The clustered frequency distribution table is another name for this. The frequency distribution table must be created by dividing the data values into an adequate number of classes and with the appropriate class height.
