JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Criteria: The JEE Main Eligibility Criteria for 2024 has been unveiled on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.ac.in. Prospective candidates can now review crucial details including educational qualifications, age limits, nationality requirements, minimum marks, compulsory subjects, and more.
As per the official announcement by the Department of Higher Education, candidates need to match the following criteria to be eligible to appear in the JEE Main 2024:

Number of attempts | Candidates are eligible to participate in the JEE Main for three consecutive years following their successful completion of the class 12 or qualifying examination. Two attempts in a year (Held four times in 2021) |
Subjects in the qualifying exam | For JEE Main Paper 1 (B.Tech)- Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects, and any one subject among Chemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational Subject For JEE Main Paper 2A (B.Arch)- Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects in class 12 For JEE Main Paper 2B (B.Plan) – Mathematics as a compulsory subject in class 12 |
JEE Main Eligibility for Repeaters
- NTA has removed the age limit for JEE Main repeaters.
- Previously, candidates had to be under the age of 24.
- Candidates must have successfully passed the Class 12 exam or any equivalent qualifying examination.
- Repeater candidates must secure a minimum of 75% marks in their Class 12 board exams.
- The qualifying exam must consist of five subjects, with Physics and Mathematics being mandatory subjects.
