  4. UPSC Venom Spitting UPSC is pro-urban, pro- middle class. In reality To be honest I think better resourced or it's impossible for some rural / BPL candidate to privileged people have an advantage in any field financially sustain the preparation for such a of life and not just UPSC. However there is long time, except a few Cinderella stories. nothing we can do to alter the conditions of our birth. We must always try and do our best with the cards that we are dealt with by nature. No Doctors, engineers, CA, IIT, IIM-walla should be prohibited from giving UPSC UPSC is anti-working professional I don't think UPSC is 'for' or 'against' anything or anyone, it is simple logic that doing one thing at a time is easier than doing two

  5. UPSC Venom Spitting UPSC is anti-senior players and pro-first timer I have not found anything with the exam process that would lead to believe in anything like that. UPSC is pro-English medium because it asks The reservoir of knowledge available in English from the Hindu and other English newspaper/magazines only. language is obviously more than in Hindi or any other Indian language but that is reflective of history and social conditions, this is nothing unique with UPSC. Delhi coaching increases the chances of I went to Delhi twice during my preparation and selection, no matter what UPSC changes in its both times for my interview, never took any question pattern or syllabus classroom coaching so can't comment on their efficacy

  6. UPSC Venom Spitting In general I am in favour of less controls and more choice to candidates. If there is an inherent bias then UPSC should try and mend its moderation process and not bar people from choosing a particular optional subject. Non-literature candidates should not be allowed to choose literature optional Candidate should not be allowed to pick pubad-socio, geography, anthro etc unless they've graduated from it Mains answer writing medium should be only in English and Hindi Why not No This again is true for life in general, the luck factor is more at play than say in exams like IIT JEE or AlIIMS entrance UPSC is a matter of luck. Not every deserving person gets the job. but we have plenty of evidence that indicate that in general people who work harder perform better.

  7. UPSC Venom Spitting This again is an individual choice, people who have experience in working with recruitment exams may answer this better, I have no experience so it would be difficult for me to say If UPSC and Government think that this would help save resources then yes, but there is no Age /attempt limit should be reduced, because many aspirants waste away their entire youth life chasing this mirage. ay their entire youthexams may answer thi there should be consolation prize jobs for those principle that says that one must be awarded a who fail in mains /interview level consolation prize. If some other agencies (like SAI) feel that they can make good use of this exam they will themselves take the initiative. I have no experience with Banks/State PSC exams but I do feel that exams like JEE advances and mains have moved far ahead in terms of transparency UPSC still has colonial mindset in terms of transparency and reforms. Banks/State PSC moved far ahead.

  9. UPSC Venom Spitting UPSC should disclose official prelim answerkey immediately after prelim is over, instead of stalling it till interview phase is over Yes UPSC exam cycle should be shortened. Most definitely yes UPSC should be conducted online like IBPS and CAT exam UPSC's mains stage should also have MCQs, to prevent discretion and arbitrariness in awarding marks. Whatever helps in shortening the cycle e should also haveT This again should be better judged by people who have experience in relevant field

  10. UPSC Venom Spitting Optional should be removed. The present stalemate is helping no one except coaching and book publishers. GS & ethics syllabus is stupid. UPSC This again should be better judged by people who have experience in relevant field should explicitly give the booklist so I think it will be naive to think that if UPSC gives a booklist junta doesn't waste time and money on coaching material and internet digging people will read only those books. Removal / reduction of aptitude paper in CSAT exam- as it hurts non-engineer and rural candidates. Everyone wants to do well in the exam but we have to accept what UPSC thinks fit, my personal view is that a civil servant in the 21st century must have a certain level of aptitude but this view might also be biased.
