HOSTED BY The summit will be hosted by the Information and Broadcasting (I-B) Ministry, jointly with the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), and public sector firm Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd (BECIL). 4. AIM: encourage regional and bilateral dialogue and cooperation to respond to challenges to the broadcasting sector in the region.

LOAN FROM THE WB The World Bank will provide a USD 200 million loan to help the government achieve its goal of reducing stunting in children 0-6 years of age from 38.4 per cent to 25 per cent by the year 2022. 2. FOCUS With a focus on improving the coverage and quality of ICDS nutrition services to pregnant and lactating women and children under 3 years of age, the project will include investments in improving the skills and capacities of ICDS staff and community nutrition workers.

This is the first such conference after the launch of Smart Cities Mission on June 25, 2015. 3. SMART CITIES MISSION As reported by cities, 3,012 projects worth Rs 1,38,984 crore have been identified for implementation under the Modi government's flagship programme. Out of which, over 750 projects of more than Rs 25,000 crore have been completed or are being implemented

DTAA AMENDMENT The tax department has notified the amendments of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) between India and Kuwait, which enables sharing of information with other law enforcement agencies. 2. PROTOCOL Both the countries had on January 15, 2017,signed a protocol to amend the tax treaty The protocol updates the provisions in the DTAA for exchange of information as per international standards -the Protocol enables sharing of the information received from Kuwait for tax purposes with other law enforcement agencies with authorisation of the competent authority of Kuwait and vice versa
