Pakistan has always been in a turmoil situation as far as the democracy is concerned ever since it gets separated and formed a new nation. In Pakistan the militaristic interference in domestic policy and in foreign policy isnt a new has got nuclear capability around the same time India got it.however being in a turmoil situation where a military rule has got tremendous powers from the political authority itself pose a threat to whole of the south aisa particularly for Himalayan region where India has got a integral part. And this phenomena could lead to a catastrophic consequences where the relief and redevelopment would not going to be a easy task since we all have seen the lethal nature of nuclear weapon in world war where heroshima and Nagasaki are the living example of crusading the humanity in seconds. However there can be possible solution if Pakistan would try to become a representative democracy rather than a safe heaven for military rule and at the same time for terrorist activity which it gets victimised again and again. If the Taliban. And other regional TERRORIST organisation would get access to nuclear weapon than certainly Pakistan would sure become a new Iraq and Syria. For this the whole international community needs to work for eradicating the sources of these groups .and try to give support for only elected govt not to military dictatorship. Pakistan needs to work ahead for saving their own self from getting victimised as well as providing an inclusive environment for terrorist and regional grouping and try to focus on secular nature . The economic growth and development would lead to a better future for the country and for the whole region by and large. It needs to focused on a basic amenities to their citizen like health education and employment. By this it can surely remove the terrorist nation tag and would established itself as a growing nation where democracy is super and it gets its power from people inclusively. Comment pls sir.

  5. Context Finance Ministry, has announced the formation of a committee to assess the idea of special asset reconstruction companies or asset management companies to take over bad loans from banks. Oldea of a 'bad bank' is not new. Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian had suggested the creation of a Public Sector Asset Rehabilitation Agency (PARA) to deal with what he described as India's "festering twin balance sheet problem". OProfessionally-run PARA, or the so-called 'bad bank, could assume custody of the largest and most difficult-to-resolve NPAs from lenders' balance sheets UBHODEEP

  6. Impacts: Hurts new investments and continues to dent India's medium- term growth and job creation prospects Allow banks to focus on extending fresh credit and supporting the pick-up in growth. free bankers from the risks entailed in large loan write-downs. UBHODEEP

  7. Reasons why the idea of bad bank - in cold over the past Setting up Bad bank - need a lot of capital support, just as banks do Time-consuming and there would be challenges on its ownership structure as well as the pricing of bad loans taken over from banks Past experience of private asset reconstruction companies, a PARA by itself would not be able to deploy dramatically different tools to extract better value from underlying assets and would, at best, amount to window-dressing bank books to attract investors. UBHODEEP

  8. Need Obank loans are likely to remain sluggish for the next two-three years. Whether or not the knots in the bad bank idea are sorted out, the government should focus on other reforms as well. One, amend the Prevention of Corruption Act to shield bankers and officers from investigative witch-hunts Two, bad bankers - to take demonstrable action against wilful defaulters. And three, take a hard look at what ails the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. UBHODEEP
