Answer: The JEE Main 2016 Paper 1 consisted of a total of 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with 30 questions allotted to each of the three sections, namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In JEE Main 2022 Paper 1, each subject has two sections i.e. Section A contains MCQs, and Section B contains numerical value-type questions. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five out of 10 questions of a subject. So, out of a total of 90 questions in Paper 1, candidates are required to attempt only 75 questions.

Answer: The Physics section in JEE Main 2016 saw questions from KTG & Thermodynamics; Electromagnetic waves & communication; Rigid Body Dynamics; Wave Optics; Work, Power & Energy; Current Electricity; and Geometrical Optics & Physical Optics among others.

Answer: The odds of exact previous years’ questions being repeated in the paper are usually low. However, you will frequently find similar questions based on the same concepts in a section repeated year after year.

Answer: Paper 2A for B.Arch. consists of 3 sections: Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test. Paper 2B for B.Planning also comprises Mathematics, Aptitude test, and a section on Planning-based questions. The Mathematics section in both papers 2A & 2B contains Multiple-Choice and Numerical-Value type questions.

Answer: The clearer your understanding of elementary and complex subject concepts, the better you will be at tackling application-based problems. Understanding is honed by practice; hence it is imperative to solve JEE Main question papers on a regular basis.

Answer: MCQs with zero matching optional answers are rare, but not unheard of. In JEE Main 2016, many candidates pointed out one question from the Binomial theorem in the Mathematics section as fundamentally erroneous.
