Immovable property Bill 1. 12th AMENDMENT A bill to amend the regulations governing the compensation payable for acquisition of immovable property by the Centre for defence and security purposes was passed by the Rajya Sabha today. The Requisitioning and Acquisition of Immovable Property (Amendment) Bill, 2017 which was moved by Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, was adopted by a voice vote. 2. AMENDMENT Amendment was solelyfor defence and national security purpose. re-issue the notice of acquisition to ensure that the property owner gets an opportunity to be heard. -

  3. NO DETENTION POLICY 1. REPEALED - The Lok Sabha passed a bill to end the 'no detention' policy in schools for students of classes 5 to 8.
