  2. SABARIMALA TEMPLE 1. SUPREME COURT VERDICT the Supreme Court has said women have the constitutional right of equal access to public places of worship to pray. Any rule thatstood in their way would be againstthis right, the apex courtsaid. - 2. BACKGROUND Women are notallowed to enter Sabarimala temple. The discrimination is based on physiological reasonas women between the age group of 10-50 undergo menstruation. 3.OBSERVATION Article 25 (1) mandates freedom of conscience and right to practise religion. "All persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right freely to profess, practise and propagate religion".
