  2. IFFCO iMANDI APP 1. APP LAUNCHED It is an e-commerce platform launched by IFFCO to address all needs of the farming community associated with it. For this initiative, IFFCO has partnered with Singapore-based technology firm iMandi 2. TARGET IFFCO is targeting to reach GMV (gross merchandise value) of $5 billion in the nexttwo years by catering needs of 5.5 crore farmers already associated with it. 3. WHAT IS IFFCO IFFCO is largescale fertiliser cooperative federation in India which is registered as Multistate Cooperative Society.


  3. BANSAGAR PROJECT 1. FEATURES OF THE PROJECT Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the Bansagar canal project in Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. Bansagar Dam project is a joint venture between Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Dam is a multipurpose river Valley Project on Sone River situated in the Ganges Basin in Madhya Pradesh. - Son River of central India is the second largest of the Ganges's southern tributaries after Yamuna River.

EK KADAM SWACHHTA K AUR Primarystudents of the Ahmedabad's municipal schools will get a free haircut every month as partof the local civic corporation's 'Ek Kadam Swachhate Ki Aur' programme. 2. IMPLEMENTED BY The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation inked an agreement with the International School of Aesthetics and Spa (ISAS), an NGo, to implement the programme which will see 1.25 lakh students studying in 380 civic schools getting a free haircut every month. Inculcate cleanliness - will allow the parents of these students to save money.

HOTEL LEELA 1.FORUM HUNTING The Bombay High Courttoday imposed a fine of Rs 5 lakh on Hotel Leela for "forum-hunting" by seeking that their pleas, challenging eviction proceedings initiated against it by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), be heard by a singlejudge bench 2. CASE The AAl had, in February last year, issued an eviction notice to Hotel Leela Venture, which runsa five-star hotel near the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, for non-payment of dues.
