The Raisina Dialogue is an annual international meeting held in New Delhi, India. Since its debut in 2016, this conference has established itself as India’s premier geopolitical & geoeconomics event. The Observer Research Center, an unbiased think tank, is hosting the conference in partnership with India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
The conference is set up as just a multi-stakeholder, cross-sectoral conversation, with heads of state, cabinet ministers, & local government officials among the participants. The Dialogue additionally welcomes senior executives from the commercial sector, as well as representatives of the media & academics. It is modelled after the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.Â

In New Delhi, the 5th version of Raisina Dialogue, India’s premier worldwide conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, took place. The term “Raisina Dialogue” derives from the Raisina Hill, a hill in New Delhi that houses the Indian government’s headquarters as well as the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the country’s presidential home.

The inaugural Raisina Dialogue took place between March 1 and 3, 2016. The subject of “Asia: Regional & Global Connectivity” drew over Hundred participants from over 35 nations. The physical, economic, human, & digital connection of Asia was the theme of the 2016 conference. Panels and conversations focused on the region’s common space management potential and challenges, and also the global collaborations required to establish shared pathways in the twenty-first century.
2018 Raisina Dialogue
The Raisina Dialogue was conducted for the third time in the Taj Administrative Complex in New Delhi, India, on January 16–18, 2018.
“Managing Disruptive Transitions: Ideas, Institutions, and Idioms” is the subject of the 2018 Conference. This subject aims to investigate the changing dynamics of the global order, where old ties require new orientations, burgeoning alliances confront enormous challenges, and power & sovereignty are questioned. The Dialogue will promote debate on the role for institutions, the possibilities of collective action, and effective solutions to these contemporary events.
2019 Raisina Dialogue
From January 8–10, 2019, The Raisina Dialogue hosted its fourth edition only at Taj Diplomatic Complex in New Delhi, India.
“New Geometrical patterns | Fluid Relationships | Uncertain Consequences” was the conference’s topic. The subject is a natural extension of the previous edition’s theme, which was Managing Interruptions & Transitions. Then-External Affair Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj states in her comments, “”A Globe Reorder” is a relevant and urgent topic even as the world finds answers to the continuously shifting political, economic, & strategic environment. I’m hoping that the conversations will encourage open and honest debate about the current geopolitical reorganisation and guide us in the direction of new and inventive solutions “.
