The 3 Stages of GSLV MK III- The Mechanism
GSLV launch vehicle launched the GSAT-19 satellite on 5th June 2017 from the SDSC facility in Sriharikota. The mechanism of the GSLV launch vehicle is as follows:
- It has two motors situated on both sides, carrying tons of semi composite or composite solid projectile, whose ignition results in the vehicle’s take-off.
- For nearly 140 seconds, the solid toe straps motor function. In the second stage, the compiled engine, which is a liquid booster, leads to the ignition of the launch vehicle 114 seconds after lift-off of the vehicle.
- In the third stage, the two engines further result in separation or thrust of the vehicle nearly after 140 seconds of lift up.
