Matter

Know about the matter, like Dark Matter and Dark Energy, Anti Matter and Anti Energy, and Negative Matter and Negative Energy in this article.

Matter dominates our universe. The concept of matter is one of the earliest in physics. It is an object that possesses mass and occupies space. Modern science recognises four types of matter: Ordinary Matter, Antimatter, Negative Matter, and Dark Matter. Every substance possesses energy. Scientists have discovered that matter is paired. This implies that all matter has its own Anti Matter, which shares the same properties besides the electrical charge. A proton, for example, has a positive charge, whereas an Antiproton has a negative charge. However, they possess the very same mass and other characteristics. On the other hand, Dark Matter has yet to be directly observed, but its presence has been confirmed by very convincing evidence. This article aims to explain Dark Matter and Dark Energy, Anti Matter and Anti Energy, Negative Matter and Negative Energy, and the distinctions between them.

What is Matter?

According to the scientific definition, matter is any substance that has mass and occupies space. While energy is one of the characteristics of matter. Matter is composed of subatomic particles, such as protons, neutrons, electrons, leptons, and quarks.

In addition to ordinary matter, there are various other kinds of matter, including Dark Matter, AntiMatter, and Negative Matter. Since matter and energy are interchangeable, Dark Energy, Anti Energy, and Negative Energy also exist.

Anti Matter and Anti Energy

The word ‘Anti’ means ‘opposite.’ AntiMatter is a matter that contains anti particles that contribute to matter formation. Therefore, Anti Matter possesses properties opposite to those of Ordinary Matter. For instance, the anti electron is the electron’s antiparticle. Each pair of matter and the Anti Matter has an equal mass, but opposite electrical charges. There are also variations in their quantum characteristics. Similar to how the electron and the anti electron have identical masses but opposite electrical charges. When an electron collides with an anti electron, the energy (Anti Energy) equivalent to the masses of the two particles is produced as per Einstein’s formula.

According to the theories, Anti Matter interacts with all four fundamental forces, including gravitational, electromagnetic, nuclear, and weak forces. Scientists believe that Anti Matter behaves similarly to ordinary matter under gravity, but they have yet to observe a large enough mass of Anti Matter to confirm this.

Dark Matter and Dark Energy

The term “Dark” is used to describe the unknown. As a result, Dark Matter refers to unidentified matter whose properties are unknown to science. And Dark Energy is the same as unknown energy. Scientists estimate that ordinary matter accounts for about 4% of the universe, Dark Matter for 23%, and Dark Energy for 73%.

Supernova observations revealed that, as the universe expands at a faster rate, there must be a greater amount of matter in the universe than we see. Spiral galaxies serve as proof of the existence of Dark Matter. The spinning speed of spiral galaxies is determined by their mass. According to observations, the majority of spiral galaxies, including the Milky Way, rotate faster than expected. As a result, the mass of these galaxies should be much greater than what we observe. In theory, unseen, unobservable, or missing mass and energy are referred to as Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

Dark Matter, according to the hypotheses, interacts only through weak and gravitational forces. As a result, its gravitational effect is visible. However, Dark Matter and Dark Energy are difficult to detect and observe because Dark Matter does not interact with strong or electromagnetic forces.

Negative Matter and Negative Energy

Negative Matter is a hypothetical form of matter that, if it exists, has negative mass and negative energy. It will have a negative gravitational charge and will reject ordinary matter. Matter and Antimatter are drawn to each other, resulting in their annihilation. Under gravity, however, matter and negative matter repel one another. Materials with negative mass are thought to violate several energy principles. As a result of this violation, the material begins to exhibit unusual characteristics. One such feature is negative mass with opposing acceleration. Negative Matter’s interaction with the other three forces has yet to be theorised. All of these theories contend that negative mass is a concept developed by scientists to create negative matter for experiments and hypothetical difficulties.

Conclusion

Anti Matter and Anti Energy behave similarly to Ordinary Matter in the presence of gravity and other forces. Scientists have no idea about Negative Matter and Negative Energy, and they may not exist outside of specific ideas. But, if they do, it could be used to create wormholes, warp drives, perpetual motion, and even time machines. Dark Matter and Dark Energy are almost certainly real entities. Dark Matter interacts with only gravitational and weak forces.

Ans. Negative Matter is only a theoretical matter with negative mass and Negative Energy if it exists. It would have a negative gravitational charge and repel ordinary matter. However, it will interact in the same manner as all other matters.

Ans. Dark Matter and Dark Energy are not clear to scientists. Yet, they estimate that only 4% of the universe is composed of ordinary matter, while 23% is made of Dark matter and 73% of Dark Energy.

Ans. Anti Matter consists of Antiparticles like Antiprotons, Antielectrons, etc. When AntiMatter and ordinary matter collide, they annihilate each other, generating a large amount of Anti Energy.
