List of Government Schemes 2022 with Launch Dates

The schemes launched by the Narendra Modi government in 2022, 2021, 2020, and previous years include schemes from previous governments that have been renamed, amended, or both. Every scheme in the Pradhan Mantri Yojana list below benefits the general public of India in some way.

During his first and second terms, Narendra Modi’s central government launched a number of new social welfare schemes, initiatives, and policies to benefit the country and its citizens. After taking office in May 2014, many welfare schemes were launched, including the well-known Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana, and Smart City Mission.

Here is a complete list of more than 240 major initiatives, policies, web portals, and schemes launched by the Narendra Modi government until February 2022, based on our knowledge and research.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports oversees the Central Government’s National Sports Talent Search Scheme 2022. 

The sports authority uses this scheme to identify talented athletes from various states and regions of the country and provide them with opportunities to develop their skills. Athletes are trained by sports officials under this scheme and then compete in national and international sporting events. 

The Central Government also provides financial assistance for training under this scheme, and the Sports Authority of India operates training centres across the country. A hostel, gym, pool, and other amenities have been made available to athletes in these training centres.

PM SVANidhi

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched the PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) on June 1, 2020 to provide affordable Working Capital loan to street vendors who have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 lockdown.

The scheme’s initial duration was until March 2022. It has been extended until December 2024, with a focus on improving collateral-free affordable loan corpus, increasing digital transaction adoption, and holistic socioeconomic development of street vendors and their families.

Over 50 lakh street vendors are expected to benefit from this scheme.

According to the scheme guidelines, a vendor is any person engaged in vending articles, goods, wares, food items, or merchandise of daily use to the public or offering services to the public in a street, footpath, pavement, etc.

To obtain the loan, a vendor must

  • Have a Certificate of Vending / Identity Card issued by an Urban Local Body (ULB);
  • The vendors who were identified in the street vendor survey but were not issued a Certificate of Vending / Identity Card;
  • If a vendor is excluded from the survey, he or she must produce one of the following documents in order to obtain a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from Urban Local Bodies/TVC

PM FME

The unorganised food processing industry needs to improve the competitiveness of existing individual micro-enterprises. This unorganised sector of the food processing industry must be formalised as well. 

To that end, the state and federal governments collaborated to launch Pradhan Mantri’s formalisation of micro food processing enterprises (PM FME Scheme). Various financial incentives will be provided to farmer producer organisations, self-help groups, and producers cooperatives as part of this scheme, as well as their value chain.
