Key Points on Old Scheme of Tagore National Fellowship

This will provide these institutions with a fresh creative edge and academic quality.

Both citizens of India and citizens of other countries would be eligible to participate in the Scheme.

The number of fellowships given to individuals from other countries will often not surpass one third of the total number given out each year.

This Program will be referred to from this point forward as the “Tagore National Fellowship for Cultural Research.”

To be considered for engagement, academics must not only possess the credentials outlined in the paragraph before this one, but also have a solid reputation in the field that is researched by the university.

If the institution is an autonomous body (and seeks such funding), the Ministry of Culture will allot grant-in-aid as part of their budget allocation.

If the institution is an attached or subordinate formation of the Ministry, however,  the Ministry will make required budget provision in order to support the scholars who are engaged in this endeavour.

Within the broad parameters outlined herein and as may be advised by the National Selection Committee (NSC) on Visiting Fellowships, the institutions will have the full freedom and flexibility to administer the Scheme (for which the Ministry will provide the grant-in-aid/budgetary provision, as the case may be).

This is because the Ministry will provide the grant-in-aid/budgetary provision, as the case may be.

Foreign fellowships

A Visiting Fellow who comes from a university, college, or government institution in India is entitled to the same compensation,  including grade pay and other benefits, that he or she would have received had they been employed by the parent organisation for the duration of the Visiting Fellowship.

The essential or necessary payment of the employer to CPF etc. would also be paid, as it is possible that the employer would have paid this amount had he or she kept working in his or her parent organisation.

A Fellow who comes from outside of India or who works in an institution other than a university, college, or government agency, or who has subsequently resigned from active duty and/or is receiving a pension, is eligible for a monthly honorarium of Rs 80,000/- (about $1,500).

Proportion of people from foreign countries

The percentage of people who are immigrants varies significantly from country to country for a number of different reasons.

In comparison, immigration to certain nations is quite simple, and in fact, certain countries actively seek new residents from the United States.

On the other hand, immigration to certain other countries is relatively challenging.

The United States of America is home to a larger number of immigrants than any other country in the world.

An estimated 50.6 million persons in the United States were born in a country other than the one in which they currently reside.

This is slightly more than 15 percent of the overall population of 331.4 million.

Since 1965, the number of foreign-born people living in the United States has increased by at least 400 percent.

The immigrant population in the United States is extremely diverse, with people from nearly every country in the world making their homes in the United States.

More than 11 million people, or around 25 percent of all immigrants in the United States, came to this country from Mexico.

Mexico is the top origin country for immigrants to the United States.

Except for individuals whose ancestors arrived as slaves, the majority of people of the “Great American Melting Pot” are derived from immigrants, and early European settlers in particular.

Immigration, of course, played a formative role in making the United States the country it is today.

Goal of Encouraging Scholars/Academicians

Academicians believe that offering scholarships to students is one of the most effective ways to push students to achieve their academic goals.

Because of this, it should not come as a surprise that high school and junior college students from all around the city are signing up online for the coveted Times Spark scholarship

Many educated people in the city are of the opinion that there would be a good amount of competition for the available scholarships, which range from 50,000 to 150,000 rupees each.

“Our pupils need every motivation they can get to achieve in academics,” said Zaffar Khan, head of the Nagpur Headmasters Charitable Roundtable.

I have always believed that scholarships are the finest approach to reach that aim because they come in quite handy for those individuals who are not well off financially.

When discussing scholarships in the context of the education industry as a whole, a number of academics held the view that it was essential to have high-value scholarships.

According to Shubra Roy, a senior teacher at Somalwar School in Ramdaspeth,

“Education in today’s day and age has become extremely pricey; as a result, scholarship amounts ought to be adjusted proportionately.”

Students who come from low-income families and have aspirations of furthering their education can benefit greatly from the opportunity to apply for scholarships.

“Scholarships are a terrific sort of encouragement for kids to achieve well,” stated Nazra Patel, the principal of Anjuman Urdu School (Mahal).

However, I believe that in addition to increasing the amount of scholarships, there should also be more of them.

In the realm of education, this kind of effort will prove to be extremely effective.

Conclusion

Students can be motivated to study more effectively by the possibility of receiving a scholarship.

“However, everything has gotten expensive in today’s day and age, and as a result, there certainly is a need to enhance the number of scholarships in order for them to be truly beneficial,” stated Sunita Roy, a senior academician and the former principal of Dinanath School.

Scholarships, in the opinion of certain members of the academic community, can give pupils an emotional lift.

According to Lucky Sadrani, the principal of Podar International (Katol), “a lot of students fail to excel and explore their field of interest due to a lack of money.”

Scholarships are a morale-boosting push that can be utilised in situations like these.

In addition to that, it serves as recognition for the outstanding accomplishments of the pupils who have participated. Nevertheless,  I believe there should be a greater number of scholarships available,  the amount of which should vary according to the field of study the child intends to pursue.
