Every year, current national and international affairs form a significant part of General Studies.
(GS) Paper I of the UPSC Prelims Examination. Current Affairs is a general field that is woven into all subjects, be it Economy, Polity & Governance, Ecology & Environment, International Relations, or Science & Technology. In other words, barring History, GS Paper I of UPSC Prelims includes questions related to current developments – Indian and international – from all topics. It is highly recommended that candidates stay abreast of current affairs on a daily basis instead of treating it as one chunk of the syllabus.
