History and Art Culture – UPSC Prelims Previous Years’ Questions (2011 to 2020)
An objective-type paper containing 100 questions, General Studies (GS) Paper I of the UPSC Prelims Examination covers a diverse variety of topics, one of which is History and Art & Culture. Every year, a certain number of questions in GS Paper I pertain to the History, Art, Architecture, and Culture of India. You may expect anywhere between 3-10 questions on Art & Culture. As far as history is concerned, there were 19 questions on the subject in Prelims GS Paper I 2021, 18 questions in Prelims 2020, 16 questions in Prelims 2019, 18 questions in Prelims 2018, and 10 questions in Prelims 2017.
