Honey bees, despite the fact that they are among the highly famous bees, contribute to a significant percentage of any and all bee species. The Apini tribe of bees, that also falls mostly under genus Apis, seems to be the only group of bees that has survived to this day. Honey bees have been the only group of bees which have survived to the present day. Among their many accomplishments are the production as well as storage of nectar, honey, and liquefied sugar, and even the construction of amazingly large nests from wax naturally produced by working in a specific colony.

An insect belonging to the class Insecta, the honey bee is among their members. This group of insects belongs to the subfamily Apinae, and they are responsible for the production and storage of liquid sugar, that is also referred as honey.Honey bees are approximately 15 mm in length and are therefore a light brown tint. In most cases, honey bees resemble oval-shaped insects having golden-yellow colours with brown stripes around their bodies.

While honey bee colouration differs among subspecies as well as some honey bees have primarily black bodies, practically all honey bees possess dark-to-light streaks that go from one end of the body to the other. It is important for the honey bee’s continued existence that its body is brightly coloured, because unlike most species that conceal once they sense a carnivore nearby, its brightly coloured body serves as just a caution to predatory animals that honey bees are capable of stinging them.

Honey bees are sociable insects, of the kind that means that bees live in huge, well-organized family groupings and also that they communicate with one another as a team. Unlike the vast majority of complete isolation insects, honeybees have advanced to the point where they can do a number of challenging activities which are not available to them.

Uses of Honey bees

  1. As per the Mayo Clinic, honey is being used as a soothing balm to treat burns as well as avoid infection for ancient times. Honey appears to have the potential to shorten the recovery period after burns.

  1. Due to its lower glycemic load than sugars, honey will not cause a surge in the blood glucose levels the same manner sugar does. Honey already has a sweet flavor than sugar, that may also allow users to use less sugar substitute when cooking or baking with it. As a result, honey is a preferable alternative to sugar.
  1. Despite the fact that honey has been hailed for its ability to increase reproductive function both in men and women, the evidence for this assertion is blended.
  1. Aside from these nutrients, honey bees contain a variety of nutrients such as vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, and enzymes that can help to relieve the side effects of a cold or the flu.

In addition to insect pollinators, several kinds of native plants rely on them for reproduction. Honeybees are important for the creation of a wide variety of grains, nuts, fruits, and fruits and vegetables, all of which are important food sources for wildlife.Honey is produced by honey bee in order to provide food for their colonial possessions during in the cold months. The harvesting of honey has been going on for thousands of years, and yet people aren’t the only ones who enjoy it just as a sugary treat.
