1. The States Reorganisation Act, 1956

The States Reorganisation Act, 1956 settled the boundaries and territories of India based on the language spoken in the region. The newly drafted Constitution of India distinguished the states into four main types, and they were classified in the Constitution as Part A states, Part B states, Part C states, and Part D states.

2. The Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958

The Indian Parliament passed the AMASR Act of 1959. This ascertains the safety and preservation of ancient and historical sites and monuments and remains of National importance, and the Archaeological Survey of India functions under this Act. 

3. The Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016

The objective of the Aadhaar Act, 2016, is to reach the targeted delivery of services and subsidies to the citizens of the country. To fulfill this unique identity, numbers or Aadhaar numbers are assigned to each individual residing in the country. 

4. The Environment Protection Act, 1986

To protect and improve the environment, the Environment Protection Act was implemented in 1986. The Act gives the Central Government power to establish Authorities U/s 3 (3) to curb environmental pollution and control environmental problems in different parts of the country. The last amendment to the Act was made in 1991.

5. The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009

Enacted on August 4, 2009, this Act was established due to concern for children’s education and betterment. The Act emphasised the necessity and need for compulsory and free education for children between 6 to 18 years of age. Under Article 21 A of the Constitution, education was declared a fundamental right of every child. This Act came into force on April 1 2010.
