Does Tropic of Cancer Makes States of India Hot

The world is divided into equal hemispheres by the equator. 180 latitudes divide the earth into different parts. Each latitude represents a degree. Out of all the 180, five latitudes are explicitly named, the tropic of Capricorn, the tropic of Cancer, the Antarctic circle, the Arctic Circle, and the equator. The equator is found in the middle of the earth, and its value concerning degree corresponds to 0°. 

The tropic of cancer is located at 23.5° towards the North, and the tropic of Capricorn is located at 23.5° towards the South of the equator. The Arctic and Antarctic circles are at 66.5° to the North and South, respectively.

Tropic of Cancer is an imaginary longitudinal line on the earth running from East towards the West. In Hindi, The Tropic of Cancer is known as kark rekha.  The Tropic of Cancer (Kark Rekha), located at 23.5° to the North of the equator, is an important landmark. The main difference between finding the tropic of cancer and the tropic of Capricorn is their differences in hemispheres.

All the countries and states that lie over the tropic of cancer experience scorching and humid climates. Tropic cancer is responsible for this climate in states falling around it. Thus we can say that the tropic of cancer makes the state falling around it hot.

The Tropic of Capricorn is an imaginary latitudinal line running from the East to the West. It is located at 23.5° towards the South of the equator. The sun is directed towards the Tropic of Capricorn on December 21, i.e. during the winter solstice. This marks the beginning of summers in the Southern hemisphere and winters in the Northern hemisphere. 

The Tropic of Capricorn divides the Southern hemisphere into The temperate zone towards the South and the tropical zone towards the North. The position of the Tropic of Capricorn is not always the same. It constantly changes because of a slight tilt in the earth’s axis. 

South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Madagascar, and Botswana are some of the countries lying over the tropic of Capricorn. Just like the tropic of cancer, the tropic of Capricorn also derives its name from a constellation.

The earth is divided into several latitudes that make the study of the world and the various places around it more accessible. According to degrees, the equator is said to be 0°, and the location of the rest of the parts is determined by using the equator as a reference. The Tropic of Cancer that falls at 23.5° towards the North of the equator is one critical latitude. The Tropic of Cancer passes through various countries. When asked about what states fall on the equator, we cannot ignore states like Jharkhand, West Bengal, Tripura, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. The fact that the countries that fall on the Tropic of Cancer experience hot and humid climates all through the year are inevitable.
