The NDA examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year for admission to Navy, Army and Air Force wings of the NDA and Indian Naval Academy Courses (INAC).

NDA Exam Pattern 2023 for Written Examination
- It is an objective type examination
- The paper is divided into two parts – Mathematics and GAT
- The GAT section is divided into two parts – Part A – English and Part B – General Knowledge.

NDA Exam Pattern 2023: Negative Marking
Negative marking is applicable in the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam. For each incorrect answer, one-third (1/3) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. It is important to be cautious while answering to avoid losing marks due to negative marking.

NDA Exam Pattern 2023: Exam Duration
The NDA exam duration is 5 hours in total. The exam is divided into two papers: Mathematics (2.5 hours) and General Ability Test (2.5 hours). Candidates need to manage their time effectively to complete the exam within the stipulated duration and maximize their chances of scoring well.
