Sweet Revolution in India

The sweet revolution is a great initiative by the Indian government for the promotion of apiculture and it is also known as beekeeping.

Introduction 

The sweet revolution is very essential to boost the Indian government’s honey mission and beekeeping by the year 2020. The study has discussed the sweet revolution in India as a great initiative by the Indian government for the promotion of apiculture, also known as beekeeping. The purpose of launching the sweet revolution in India has been reviving the production of honey as well as other products. The sweet revolution has included products like royal jelly, beeswax, pollens, etc. It has also been presented extensively in different sectors like pharmaceutical, food beverage, beauty products, and many other types of products.

What is the sweet revolution in India?

The sweet revolution in India was a great initiative by the Indian government for the promotion of apiculture, also known as beekeeping. In order to present the revolution with a boost, the Indian government launched the honey keeping mission and beekeeping in the year 2020. The Indian government has launched and allocated approx. 500 crore Indian currency for development of National Beekeeping and it also helps in the mission of honey keeping in the next three years. It has been viewed that keeping information is an integrated step of the farming system. This mission is presented and launched under the step of (ATM) that is the scheme for making Atmanirbar Bharat, and it has been implemented through the board of national bee production board (NBB). The main motive of this mission is to double income to the farmer. 

What is the importance of the sweet revolution? 

The beekeeping process has been very useful in the pollination of crops. The incrementation of the farmer income keeps the way of the crop yield products and the providing the honey The higher values such as bee wax pollens and the propolis. The total of 45 projects presented for the assistance of approx. 88087 crores has been approved under the scheme of NBHM on 17 December 2021. The sweet revolution is the strategic step to improve honey production at a huge level in the nation. The farmer presents a wide variety of crops to present the fruits, vegetables and pulses. The ideal presentation of the bees is that beekeeping could become the livelihood option for all types of farmers. 

The best implementation of the sweet revolution refers to the Jharkhand state. There is huge potential for a sweet revolution in the state as the presence of suitable climate favours the growth. The land has been covered by the forest which is the most important resource for honey production. The government launched the mission as per the step of sweet revolution presented at KVIC in 2017. It has been aimed to create employment for the Adivasis, unemployed youth and the women by the hope that beekeeping will increase the production of the honey. This mission has created more than 1000 new job opportunities besides the creation of around 25000 additional man-days by the fabrication of the bee boxes and the honey extractor. The major issue presented by the beekeeper refers to scientific beekeeping, minimum support price and quality assurance branding testing, and the level of certification. 

Advantage of Mobile honey processing Van

The mobile honey processing van presents a major development under the KVIC that refers to the other goal of the honey mission. It has been aimed to provide training to the beekeepers, distribute the bee boxes to the farmer, and help in rural development. It helps to educate unemployed youths and helps to earn extra income through the activities of beekeeping. The line has been presented by the prime minister that represents the sweet Kranti (Sweet revolution) by the production of honey. The KVIC has referred to unique innovation that has enabled the beekeepers through them the farmer gets the fair prices of the honey production. The purpose of the KVIC design is the innovation of the mobile honey processing Van processes the beekeepers to present the honey on the doorstep. The van refers to the elimination of any types of scope for the adulteration of the honey that has been produced and developed to be done at the doorstep. It will make beekeeping more profitable than the properties of small beekeepers and the maintenance of the purity is the highest quality of standards. 

Awareness programs related to beekeeping 

11 projects will cost approx 2650 lakh Indian currency that is going to be sanctioned by the government (NBHM) for the presentation of building scientific beekeeping and empowerment through beekeeping to the woman. It has been aimed to the farmer to be aware of the distribution and the specialized beekeeping tools and the equipment for the high-value products like comb honey, bee venom and royal jelly. It has been presenting higher studies to explore the potential of the high altitude and production of the special kind of honey in the city of Kannauj and the Hathras districts.   

Conclusion

The study can be concluded that the sweet revolution in India helps to boost the honey sector. The Indian government launched the honey mission and beekeeping by the year 2020. The process of sweet revolution and advantages of sweet Revolution is growing over the years. There is a strong relation between the mobile processing van and the beekeeping process. This process helps the farmer directly and the unemployed youth to give them job opportunities. Through the help of the sweet revolution, the farmer can present a wide variety of crops to present fruits, vegetables, and pulses.
