GATE Registration 2023
IIT Kanpur has announced GATE 2023 registration. Eligible applicants can apply for the GATE Exam online beginning August 30. The registration deadline for GATE 2023 is September 30. The GATE online application form will be available beyond the GATE 2023 registration deadline. However, applicants will be charged a late fee. The link to the GATE application form link 2023 will be activated at gate.iitk.ac.in. Candidates must verify GATE eligibility requirements before filling out the GATE 2023 application form.

Note:
- GATE exam application form 2023 has to be submitted by registered candidates.
- An additional fee will be applicable if candidates request a change of Category, Paper, and Examination City
GATE Registration 2023 - Documents Required
The following documents are necessary while filling out the GATE application form:
- Photograph
- JPEG image of candidate’s photograph in high-resolution
- Photograph should be in colour and of the passport size.
- It must be properly photographed against a white or extremely light background.
- It should have been shot after August 1, 2022, and the candidates’ faces must occupy 50% of the space in the image. The candidates’ faces must be visible, and they must be gazing directly at the camera. Sunglasses or tinted glasses are not permitted. Only clear glasses are allowed.
- Details on Dimensions are as follows:
- Size: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
- 480 x 640 pixels is the maximum resolution.
- 240 x 320 pixels is the minimum resolution.
- Signature
- Image of the candidate’s signature in high-resolution
- Candidates must sign in a rectangle box of 2 cm x 7 cm on A4 white paper.
- The signature must be in capital letters and in black or dark blue ink. The signature must be scanned and cropped to the proportions provided.
- Details on Dimensions are as follows:
- 160 x 560 pixels is the maximum resolution.
- 80 x 280 pixels is the minimum resolution.
- Category (SC/ST) certificate scanned in pdf format (if applicable).
- PwD certificate scanned in pdf format (if applicable).
- Certificate of Dyslexia (if relevant) scanned in pdf format
- Scanned copy of any valid picture identification document: Aadhar-UID (preferable), Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, and Driving License (should include the candidate’s name, date of birth, and a unique Photo ID number). This must be brought to the test hall in original form for verification.)
GATE 2023 Registration Fee
The GATE test registration cost is payable online by Net-banking/debit card/credit card. The application cost varies depending on the candidate’s category. The following is the application cost that candidates must pay:

How to register for GATE 2023?
Filling out the GATE application form step by step:
- Step 1: GATE Registration – Register for GATE 2023 login using the GATE online application processing system 2023 (GOAPS) link provided in the article (will be updated as and when active). To register for the GATE test 2023, enter the following information.
- Candidate’s first, middle, and last name
- Valid email address
- Residence Country
- Phone number
- Future login password
After inputting all of the required information, click the submit tab. A Time Password (OTP) issued by the system will be emailed to the registered email address and cellphone number. To finish the GATE registration 2023, enter the OTP. Each properly registered applicant will be assigned a unique enrollment ID.
Note: If the OTP is not received within 10 minutes, applicants can proceed to payment by verifying their email ID or cellphone number. The remaining one will have to be validated later.
- Step 2: Login and complete the GATE test online application form. Once your GATE registration is complete, fill out the application form with the following information:
- Personal Information: Information such as the candidate’s name, father’s and mother’s names, date of birth, nativity, and so on must be submitted.
- Academic Information: Information about academic qualifications from HSC to graduate must be entered.
- Address and permanent address must be filled out for communication details.
- GATE Paper: Choose the GATE paper that appears. Changes to the GATE exam paper are not permitted once the form has been submitted.
- GATE Exam Center: Choose three exam cities from the provided list. The first two centers must be from the same GATE 2023 regional zone, while the third might be from any GATE 2023 regional zone.
- Photo Identification: The picture ID number and the kind of ID must be entered.
- Step 3: Save scanned pictures of your photo, signature, and other documents.
- Step 4: Examine the GATE 2023 application form before submitting it: Go through all the information you’ve entered and double-check it.
- Step 5: Pay GATE 2023 application fees: The GATE exam registration cost is payable online using Net-banking/debit card/credit card. The application cost varies depending on the candidate’s category. The application cost that the candidate must pay is mentioned above.
- Step 6: Submit the application form: Once the fee has been successfully paid, submit the GATE 2023 application form. Only those candidates who successfully register will be able to access the GATE 2023 admission card.
