GATE Notification 2026 includes exam dates, application form, eligibility criteria, syllabus and important instructions for candidates.

GATE exam 2026 which will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. This year the GATE exam will be conducted by IIT Guwahati. The exam will be held at the various examination centres in India and outside India. The GATE notification date has already been released in September 2025, with important details such as registration details, syllabus, exam pattern, exam centres, etc. The GATE exam opens the door for the candidates to get recruited in various PSUs that consider the GATE scores. Also, the candidates who want to go for Masters’s and Doctoral programs in Technology, Architecture, and Engineering.

Marking Scheme Questions carry either 1 mark or 2 marks
Negative Marking For a wrong answer chosen in an MCQ, there will be negative marking.
For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
For a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
There is no negative marking for wrong answer(s) to MSQ or NAT questions.
There is no partial marking in MSQ.

GATE Exam 2026 Admit Card - GATE Exam notification

The GATE exam 2026 hall ticket will be issued to the candidates in online mode.

The candidates will be able to download the hall ticket with the help of their login credentials which is their enrollment ID and the password.

The GATE 2026 hall ticket consists of various details such as the name of the candidate, exam date, the timing of the exam, the shift of the exam, roll number, etc.

Without showing the GATE Exam hall ticket, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam centre.

GATE Exam 2026 Result - GATE Exam latest notification

IIT Guwahati will announce the GATE exam 2026 result on March, 2026, on the official website.

The candidates will be able to download the same only from the official website.

For that, they will have to use their login credentials to check the result and download the scorecard.

The GATE exam update result consists of the details such as roll number of candidate, name, their rank, scores, obtained marks, etc.
