Mudra Institute of Communications Admissions Test is the full form of MICAT. For admission into their two-year PGDM or PGDM-C programmers, MICA, Ahmedabad, conducts the MICAT MBA entrance exam. Every year, the exam is given online in two sessions: one in December and one in February. Typically, phase I registration will begin in September.
The MICA Admission Test, or MICAT, is a multifaceted computer-based exam that evaluates candidates’ abilities in areas like divergent thinking, written communication, and general awareness of current social and business issues, including those that relate to media, marketing, advertising, and current affairs, and analytical and verbal skills. The MICAT Admission test also contains psychometric profiling to evaluate a candidate’s leadership capacity. The test portions for MICAT-I and MICAT-II are the same.
History of MICAT
MICA, previously Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, is a residential college focusing on developing strategic marketing and communication leadership. It was founded in 1991. MICA is an independent, nonprofit organisation.

MICAT Educational Qualifications
Before applying for MICAT, candidates must meet MICA’s strict qualifying requirements. The MICAT 2022 First Phase exam will be on a computer or online.
The eligibility requirements for education are listed below:
- The candidate’s bachelor’s degree must have been earned from an accredited college or university.
- Candidates who have earned a bachelor’s degree in any field are qualified.
- Candidates taking any admission exams, including the CAT, XAT, and GMAT, are welcome to apply, but they must score at least 50% to be considered.
- Candidates must have successfully finished both their 10 2 and bachelor’s degrees.
- Students in their last year may also apply for MICAT.
- Candidates in the foreign national and NRI categories are only eligible if they have a current foreign passport and current GMAT/XAT/CAT scores. They are eligible to apply as foreign nationals.
MICAT Qualification Exam Eligibility Requirements
Candidates who have taken the CAT, XAT, or GMAT in addition to other management exams have a significant side benefit. The scores in the indicated examination shall be the foundation of admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management programs. The applicant must have a valid score to complete the application process.
