CAT Exam Pattern for 2020

The fact that the CAT has traditionally been a test of surprises only adds to its difficulty for management candidates. It serves as the entrance to all Indian business schools, not only IIMs. The CAT MBA test aims to evaluate applicants’ fundamental aptitude and abilities in quantitative, critical & logical reasoning, thinking, and interpretation of data.

Before starting their preparations, applicants planning to take the Common Admission Test each year should review the CAT test pattern 2020. They will be better able to comprehend the structure of the question paper as well as the marking system if they are clear on the test pattern.

The students must complete the mock exams to become used to the 2020 CAT examination format. These exams will give students a sense of the types of questions on the test and how challenging it will be. Additionally, for efficient practice, CAT examinees may consult the model test papers, questions from previous years’ papers, & sample papers.

CAT 2020 Eligibility Requirements

A participant’s caste or tribe must be recorded in the Government of India schedule if they fall under the SC or ST groups. The caste certification that the applicant provides to IIM must be in the format accepted by the government and must explicitly state the following:

  • If the applicant is a member of a scheduled caste or tribe;
  • District, State, or Union Territory where the candidate resides most often;
  • The applicable Schedule within which the Government of India has approved the candidate’s caste or tribe as a Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe.
