CAT 2022
The Common Admission Test or CAT is a national management aptitude test conducted annually for admission to the MBA / PGP program offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and more than 1,200 B- schools in India.
Approximately 2,00,000 candidates participate in the CAT exam, which takes place on the last Sunday of November each year. In CAT, candidates need to complete 66 questions about quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, reasoning, language skills, and reading comprehension in 120 minutes.
The CAT 2022 exam will tentatively take place on 27 November 2022 and its online registration process will begin on 3 August 2022.
CAT Result
The 2022 CAT results will be announced in the first week of January 2023. The annual CAT notice states that the results will be announced in the second week of January, but for the past three to four years it indicates that the CAT results were announced in the first week.
The scorecard is published online on the IIMCAT website for candidates to download using their login ID and username. CAT 2022 scorecard results include each candidate’s name, registration number, category, photo, partial score, total score, partial percentile, and total percentile.
Applicants should note that CAT 2022 results are only available in online mode and no paper copy will be mailed. After declaring the CAT results, IIM initiates the selection process for joining the 2023-24 batch based on the CAT cutoff, selecting candidates for the WATPI round.

CAT Result Release Date - Previous Year Trends
- Results for all slots in the CAT 2021 exam were announced on the same day.
- Nine candidates won the 100th percentile.
- The seven 100th percentiles were from an engineering background.
- Nineteen candidates got 99.99 percentile, all-male candidates.
- Nineteen candidates got 99.98 percentile, one of whom is a woman.
- Of the 99.99 percentiles, 16 percentiles had a technical background.
- Of the 99.98 percentiles, 15 percentiles had a technical background.
How to Check CAT Result 2022?
CAT Results 2022 can only be downloaded from the official IIM CAT website. Candidates can use their CAT login ID to verify their score and download the scorecard. To see the CAT results, 2022 candidates should follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the official website (iimcat.ac.in)
Step 2: Click Download CAT 2022 Scorecard
Step 3: Enter your CAT 2022 ID and password
Step 4: Click the Scorecard tab.
Step 5: Download the CAT scorecard
Via mobile phone
Candidates can also check the CAT results on their smartphones. However, you will need to download the scorecard to your laptop or desktop. Below are the steps to download CAT Results 2022 to your mobile phone.
- Open a web browser on your mobile phone.
- Enter the URL of the CAT exam: iimcat.ac.in
- Click the tab displaying the CAT2022 scorecard
- Please enter your application number and password
- Click the Scorecard tab to see your score
