The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was founded in 1963 as an autonomous agency under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to contribute to India’s foreign trade sector’s talent development. In 2002, the Institute was designated as a “Deemed to be University.” In 2005 and 2015, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) designated IIFT as a Grade ‘A’ Institution.

IIFT
A national-level exam is administered by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) on behalf of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The test is administered online in 60-70 locations throughout India. Every year, over 40,000 applicants take it. The degree of difficulty of the IIFT is equivalent to that of the CAT and XAT.
Nota bene: Admission to NRIs and international nationals depends on the GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test). In other words, The IIFT test is not required of students. To get admitted to an MBA program (IB).
When does the IIFT take place?
The IIFT test is usually held in the first week of December. Every year, the IIFT test notice is given in August/September. The test is often held in December. Registration begins in the first week of September and runs through October.
Candidates must register at iift.nta.nic.in to apply for the test. Candidates must select four desired test cities from the list while completing the IIFT application form. Admit cards are available on the aforementioned official website a few weeks before the exam date.
Within a month following the exam, the question paper and answer keys are made accessible on the website. It’s worth noting that these answer keys (and recorded replies) are only available for three days.
Structure of IIFT
The IIFT is an objective test with four primary elements. Each segment has various questions and, as a result, a variable weightage in the exam. It will be held on a computer starting in 2019. The exam is set for a single 2-hour session. The number of questions in the IIFT has ranged from 110 to 130. However, the exam has kept the total number of questions at 110 for the previous three years. The IIFT consists primarily of intermediate and tough questions. Eligibility for IIFT
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade admits Indian nationals and foreign nationals/NRIs based on the IIFT test and the GMAT, respectively. The common qualifying conditions for both types of candidates are as follows:
The candidate must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree in any field at least three years old.
The contestant must have gotten at least 50% of the marks. On their bachelor’s degree (45% for SC/SC/PWD).
Final-year students are also eligible to apply for the IIFT test.
