GEOSYNCHRONOUS- is an orbit aroud earth whose orbital period is equal to the sideral day (23 hrs and 56 minutes) irrespective of its inclination. whereas; GEOSTATIONARY- is a geosync. orbit around the earth at 35,786km above the equator so that it remains stationary as seen from earth.
geo stationary : geo synchronous only one orbit :many orbit above the equator : may not must be circular : may not
Sir I did not understand what you told about black marketing/hoarding...pls explain....thanku...
Geosynchronous - An orbit around Earth whose orbital period is equal to a sidereal day (23 hours, 56 minutes), irrespective of its inclination. - A person on a point on Earth, will see a satellite in this orbit in the same place in the sky at the same time of the day, everyday. Geostationary - A geosynchronous orbit around Earth at 35,786 km above the equator, so that it remains stationary as seen from Earth. - A person on any point on Earth, will see a satellite in this orbit stationary w.r.t his position, just like a star in the sky.

  2. Page 7: What ails the Navigation Indian Constellation What is NavlC? [G.S.Paper-3:Science and Technology- developments and their applications] Navigation Indian Constellation (NavlC) is an independent Indian satellite-based positioning system for critical national applications. The purpose is to provide reliable position, navigation and timing services over India and its neighbourhood. NavlC consists of a constellation of seven satellites. Three of the satellites are in a geostationary orbit and four in a geosynchronous one. This means they will be visible at all times in the Indian region. . All the seven satellites of NavlC, namely, IRNSS-IA, IB, IC, ID, IE, IF and IG were successfully launched

  3. . What's the problem? Because navigation requires the most accurate clocks, the 1.420-crore Navic relies on rubidium clocks. e Each of the seven satellites has three of them on-board. However, this January, the ISRO confirmed that the clocks on the first satellite, IRNSS-IA had failed in June 2016. How's it being fixed? Without its clocks, the IRNSS-IA "will give a coarse value. It will not be used for computation. Messages from it will still be used" ISRO was trying to revive the clocks on IA and readying one of the two back-up navigation satellites to re- place it in space in the second half of this year. Rubidium clocks were the previous standard in accurate clocks and most organisations, that need precise time learnt that future clocks on such satellites, each with a lifespan of 10 years, will host such clocks. estimates, need cesium clocks. It is

  4. The applications of IRNSS are: terrestrial, aerial and marine navigation, vehicle tracking and fleet management, terrestrial navigation for hikers and travellers, disaster management, integration with mobile phones, mapping and geodetic data capture and visual and voice navigation for drivers. Question: What is the difference between geostationary orbit and geosynchronous orbit?

  5. Pagel0:Union Minister defends Centre's decision to reduce import duty on wheat. Govt. is responsive The issue with regard to import duty on wheat took place over a period of eight months, between the effects of a drought on prices and assessments of a bumper crop in the next year. . The import duty on wheat as of September 2016 was 25%That year we were feeling the effects of not just the drought but we had strong representations from wheat traders from southern India who said that even with duties on imported wheat from Canada and Australia, it was cheaper to import than buy wheat from Punjab and other north Indian States because of logistical issues like transport. There were also concerns over the protein and gluten content of domestic versus imported wheat. Looking at the situation, in September 2016, we brought the import duty down to 10% and then to zero in December.

  6. e On March 29, when we got assessments that we were to have a bumper crop this year, import duty on wheat was hiked to 10% again. Ms. Sitharaman said that because of low output in 2015-16, higher imports were allowed and a reduction in import duty was allowed. The bumper crop in 2016-17 has led to restitution of import duties on wheat. - Ms. Stcharaman said that because of low outpu n 2015-16.higher imports were allowed and a Two farmers commit suicide in MePacie Records Bureau. between last Febru- ary According to data from the National Crime Records Bureau, between last Febru- ary to mid-February this year, at least 1,982 farmers and farm workers committed suicide in MP, an average of one suicide every five hours. Page 10: Yechury calls for annual MSP law CPI(M)'s Sitaram Yechury has called for a legislation mandating the Union government to fix an annual Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all agriculture products, which should be one and half times of the production cost. .Loan waiver is a temporary relief. Only a law to revive MSP annually will bring a permanent solution for the farmer's problem, he said. . The loan waiving was a promise given by Prime Minister Modi in his election manifesto. But he betrayed the farmers. He also promised to revive MSP in accordnce with Swaminathan Commission recommenda- tion. But has not implemen- ted both promises. abdication of the responsibility, he noted. farmers, the food producers of the country. And they betrayed the youth too." . 10. World News: Panama cuts Taiwan ties for China. Panama has established diplomatic ties with China and broken with Taiwan in a major victory for Beijing, as it lures away the dwindling number of countries that have formal relations with the self-ruled island. . Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela said that Panama was upgrading its commercial ties with China and establishing full diplomatic links with the second most important customer of its key shipping canal . Taiwan's government said it was sorry and angry over Panama's decision, and it would not compete with China in what it described as a "diplomatic money game Terrbones coetrcsed Dy
