The second series of bilateral exercises between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the United Arab Emirates Air Force was Desert Eagle Exercise -II, completed on June 3, 2016. This was a 10days air combat exercise that started on May 22 in Al-Dhafra Air Base, Abu Dhabi, between IAF and the UAE. The IAF Su 30 MKI participated along with Mirage 2000-9 and F-16 block 60 of the UAE Air Force in the Exercise Desert Eagle-II. The exercise played under various simulated scenarios such as planning to exchange sorties for aircrew of both the Air Forces. After Participating in such exercises, the Indian Air Force can fly against different platforms.

The Exercise Desert Eagle was an outstanding opportunity for the IAF and UAE Air Forces. This exercise enables both air forces to learn from each other and exchange best practices. Mission commanders from both air forces participated in the exercise and provided the opportunity to draw the maximum valuable operational lessons.
