How India’s First Forest Healing Centre Inaugurated Works

India’s first forest healing centre was inaugurated at Ranikhet, Uttarakhand. It was formed by the research wing of the Uttarakhand forest department after looking into the healing properties of the forest. It has a revitalising impact on the well being and health of an individual it stretches an area of more than 13 acres.

Sanjeev Chaturvedi the chief conservator of the forest said that the forest healing centre drew inspiration from the technique called shinrin-yoku. It is a Japanese way of forest bathing that involves the simple theme of stain silent, not thinking much, moving very slowly and feeling everything around you more.

Forest healing centres incorporate several activities like tree-hugging, sky gazing, forest walking and forest meditation. It is an important part of India’s first forest healing centre inaugurated in Uttarakhand.

Many pieces of research have shown that these special compounds in trees enable us to multiply the NK cells in our blood.
