Throughout the 20th century, a few countries existed that don’t anymore. But they won’t conquer or destroy as we have seen before. These were countries that sort of head. They existed only temporarily (before the 20th century), such as Alash Autonomy, Crimea People’s Republic, Georgia etc. States that were created either as a consequence of an ongoing war between world war I and world war ll or as consequences of their peace eventually were absorbed by their neighbours or joined up with other countries to exist as we know them today. Today, we know about some countries that can exist before the 20th century but don’t exist after it.
So, let us explore some of the municipalities before the 20th century.
Republic of Aras
The Republic of Aras is also called by the name Republic of Araks. A British Chief commissioner, Sir John Oliver Wardrop, is in the south Caucasus and gave the border proposal for the formation of the Republic of Aras. It is named after the Aras River (1072 kilometres long). It is an important river for Aras because of its location, and also, the Aras River bounds the Republic of Aras from the south side. The capital city of the Republic of Aras is Nakhchivan. Azerbaijani is the common language of Aras.Â
Alash Autonomy
Alash Autonomy was founded by the Kazakh elite and existed between 1917-1920. It is in central Asia and some parts of Eastern Europe, and Russian territories bound it in Russia from the north and west, Turkestan from the south, and China from the east. The capital city of Alash Autonomy is Alash-Qala, and Kazakh Russian is the common language of Alash Autonomy.
Armenia
Armenia is a wonderful country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. This country is known for its beautiful natural view, civilization, culture, history, and oldest churches and monasteries worldwide. Turkey borders it from the west and Georgia from the north. It is the smallest country, and its population is around 29.7 lakhs. The capital city of Armenia is Yerevan, and it is also the largest city in Armenia.Â
Armenia people are very friendly with foreigners; they welcome foreigners in their country and do everything to make tourists feel comfortable. 97% of the population of Armenia are Christians, and they have a very strong connection with the Armenian Apostolic Church, one of the oldest churches in the world, in the 1st century.Â
Many issues in Armenia, like unemployment, poverty, and corruption, due to which many people leave the country. According to 2020, 27% of people live below the poverty line, and the unemployment rate is about 12.2%.
Crimean People’s Republic
Crimea is on the North coast area of the Black Sea, and it connects the Isthmus of Perekop from the south and Krasnodar Krai from the west. Crimea’s population is around 2.4 million. Crimea’s name comes from the Crimean Tatras language, an ethnic group that comes through the Crimean Khanate; it gives the name Crimea.Â
Belarus
Belarus is in Eastern Europe, known for its potatoes, tractors, etc. It became very famous as a tourist destination in a short period. Ukraine borders it from the south, Poland from the west, Latvia from the northwest and Russia from the east and northeast. It is one of the largest countries in Europe, with an area of around 208,000 square kilometres with a population of about 9.3 million.Â
It is cheap with good tourist destinations like Braslav Lake Area. Minsk sea, Belovezhskaya Pushcha National Park, Brest, Grodno, etc. Before it was independent, it was known as Belorussia or White Russia. Draniki is a famous dish in Belarus and is her national dish. The people of Belarus speak Belarusian and Russian. The capital city of Belarus is Minsk, and it is also the largest city in Belarus.
Georgia
Georgia is located in the Caucasus region in Eastern Europe. Russia surrounds it from the north and east, Turkey from the southwest, Armenia from the south, and the Black Sea from the west. Georgia is situated in an area of about 69,800 square kilometres with a population of around 3.7 million.Â
The capital city of Georgia is Tbilisi, and it is also the largest city in Georgia. Georgia people love guests. Veryovkina cave, which is the world’s deepest cave, is found in Georgia. Georgia is a place for wine lovers because it is the birthplace of wine.Â
Peaches, peanuts, Buttermilk pie, and fried chicken are some of the famous foods of Georgia. It comes in the list of developing countries with a very high Human Development Index (HDI). According to 2020, 21.3% of people live below the poverty line, and the unemployment rate is about 11.7%.

Some countries existed before the 20th century, but after the 20th century, they didn’t exist.
