Su-Swastha yojna is a scheme on employee health services launched by the government of Sikkim in April 2021. The Honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang, envisioned and launched this scheme, which aims to provide healthcare services to government of Sikkim employees and their dependent family members for cashless covering of hospital bills across top tier hospitals in India.

Benefits of Su-Swastha Yojna

1.To eliminate the trouble of organising payments when someone has to be hospitalised, a network of hospitals covered under the scheme provide cashless admission and release.

2.Empanelment of top-notch hospitals and institutes in India provides the best healthcare to Su-Swastha beneficiaries.

3.Assurance of treatment quality, with the Su-Swastha Facilitation Centre overseeing medical care given to Su-Swastha beneficiaries by hospitals.

4.Transparent invoicing and tariff uniformity with hospitals based on infrastructure and treatment quality.

5.At each stage of care, patients and families are kept informed.

6.The Su-Swastha Yojna seeks to cover regular employees in the service of the Government of Sikkim and dependent family members up to a maximum of 5 dependents under the programme that gives 10 lacs of insurance each year in the first phase of its debut in April 2021.

Enrollment Eligibility of the Scheme

The Su-Swastha Yojna is primarily intended to serve as a cashless health-care plan for employees of government of Sikkim and their dependant family members. Su-Swastha Yojna benefits can be used at any of the 400+ empanelled hospitals within the Su-Swastha Yojna network of providers by only the enrolled beneficiary members as per the rules below.

The following people are eligible to join the Su-Swastha Yojna:

1.Employee working for the Government of Sikkim on a regular basis

2.A family member who is reliant on the employee as a result of one of the following relationships

-spouse

-sister and/or brother

-kids (own or legally adopted)

-parents or spouse’s parents

One employee can have up to five family members listed as dependents.

Process of digital enrollment

Enrolment may be done digitally using an online method by accessing enrolment forms on the website and filling them out online.

The application is divided into two sections. To begin, the employee must complete and submit part 1 of the form, which is used to enrol in the programme. After that, he or she should complete and submit Part 2 of the form.

Both forms require that each member attach necessary papers such as a passport-sized photo, a voter’s card, an Aadhar card, and evidence of relationship for dependent family members.

The application is then examined and approved by the employer. If the employer approves the application, the applicant will receive a link and SMS to download the e card number.

This card is necessary to use any Su-Swastha advantages later.

Applications by paper

The enrolling forms may be obtained from the internet here and filled out in English with clear handwriting, then sent to the department nodal person with the appropriate papers and images.

-Any other kind of government identification

c. Relationship proof

d. For new-borns, a hospital discharge card verified by a gazette government official is required.
