NCERT stands for National Council of Educational Research and Training. 12th standard is considered to be one of the most crucial times of a student’s academic career. This is the threshold from where a student leaves school and goes for higher learning in colleges. It becomes absolutely mandatory for students to achieve good marks in their 12th boards to get into a good college. It has been claimed that in order to achieve good marks in the 12th boards, one must go through each and every sentence of the NCERT book provided in the syllabus. 

It has been claimed that in the last 10-12 years each and every exam that has appeared in the CBSE 12th board question paper has been taken directly or indirectly from NCERT books. Furthermore, it is also claimed that NCERT books provide a comprehensive beginning and base for the students who wish to apply for AIPMT or NEET/JEE examinations.

NCERT books for 12th standard cover a range of subjects for every stream. For Science, the books come in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths. For commerce these books are available in the subjects; Accountancy, Business Studies, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Finally, for humanities, books are available for; History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology and Psychology.
