In this lesson I have discussed friction compensation and creeping error. Generally fractional error is introduced at very light load condition in the energy meter. To remove fractional error we use some technique that is called friction compensation of energy meter. We use shading ring to remove frictional error by increasing the value of driving torque. And creeping error is introduced due to over compensation of friction error. There is two method to remove creeping error. One is fix the iron piece at the edge of aluminium disc and another is drill holes at diametrically opposite of AL disc.
