Unable to enforce segregation of waste at source or run processing plants without citizen's protest, city's planners came forward with idea to transport Bengaluru' s waste to be transported on this train 100 km away. Karnataka Compost Development Corporation has identified with 1000 acre land at three locations to set up "waste parks", where they will invite private parties to invest in waste processing technology Waste management is becoming gargantuan problem with last year's incident of Mumbai' s dumping ground caught fire and raised respiratory problems. At almost every waste dumping site in municipality one can see blatant disregard for Waste Management Rules 2000 Problems like encroachment, zero buffer zone, fire, groundwater contamination, safety of rag pickers are faced in every landfil . " Waste Management Rules calls for segregation of dry and wet waste at source but govt is not able to pursue citizens to do so. Thus adding more landfills than responsibility. Plastic and metal are main source of pollution among dry waste which ends at incinerator causing damage to environment. Our state policy should discourage landfills as due to methane, plastic, they are prone to environment damaging fires .

Delhi High Court in its earlier order said that private unaided schools cannot turn to profiteering and commercialism on land provided by DDA. Thus they had to take prior consent of govt before hiking fee. This can be big boost to inclusion of economically backward students in private education system. concerns about rot in private higher education system. Bureau had been asked to keep close look at education sector .On other hand, lot needs to done at private higher education system. Kerala CM, and now former minister had raised In kerala, post from peon to teacher is sold, high admission fee is demanded.-State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Now, vaccine" to guard against spread of fake news Scientists have developed psychological vaccine" to immunize public against spread of damaging "virus" of fake news and misinformation in era of post-truth Usually in medical term, vaccination means to expose body to weakened version of virus, so that no threat is posed to body but it however gains resistance Researchers believe that similar logic can be applied "inoculate" the public against misinformation, including damaging influence of "fake news" websites propagating myths about climate change The idea is to provide cognitive repertoire that helps build resistance to misinformation. News that's low on substance and high on emotion can be fatal to democracy. Autocratic regimes on other hand, eh in North Korea, is using misinformation to sustain their rule . . .

Presence of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and participation of marching contingent in Republic day celebrations would indicate its willingness to play important role in region. Troops participation would embody "Look East" policy of UAE and GCC. UAE is modernising its military and since 2011its is one of the five biggest arms importer. Along with Qatar, it is spread out in several conflict zones. This presence of troops in India is part of wider GCC effort to exercise regional influence in vacuum left by Arab spring and to counter similar threats by Iran. USA interest in Middle East had reduced its discovery of shale gas on one hand and rapprochement with Iran on other. . . .
