i hv been following your DNA,PIB,MCQS , Editorial analysis from last month. Totally incredible. your analysis, Linkage of topics .Just too Good. SC asked private radio broadcaster to exercise the right to inform with fairness abs without prejudice, and right to counter and question the government's version of news. Court said" Airwaves are public property to be used to promote public good and expressing plurality of views, opinions, ideas "Policy guidelines and Grant of Permission Agreements framed by the government which prohibits private FM and community radio stations from broadcasting their own ideas is against Fundamental Right Article 19 (1) (a). Right to freedom of speech and expression also include Right to information,which encompasses diverse interpretation of news" said civil rights advocate Prashant Bhushan Court directed government to explain 2008 TRAI recommendation that for private FM radio broadcasting, FM broadcasters "may only be permitted to broadcast news, taking content from AIR, Doordarshan, Press Trust of India and any other authorised need agency" . Competition Appellate Tribunal. -The consent of all stakeholders, such as the Centre and businesses, is needed to implement norms, right up to the municipal level, against abuse of market power and other illegal practices restricting free trade and competition among businesses. COMPAT (Competition Appellate Tribunal), along with Competition the Competition Act of 2002. . It was set up by the Centre in 2009. An appeal from a decision of the CCI is made to COMPAT COMPAT can have one Chairperson and a maximum of two other members, all of whom serve for 5 years They are all eligible for re-appointment unless they reach the age of 68 in case of Chairperson and 65 in case of members. Only a former SC Judge or CJ of HC can be appointed as Chairperson of COMPAT .
