Introduction:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) holds the UGC NET or NTA UGC NET examination twice per year to assess applicants’ qualifications for assistant professorships, junior study fellowships, or both, in Indian universities and colleges. Each year, the NTA UGC NET exam is offered twice, between the months of June and December. Although the UGC NET exam is intended to be administered twice annually, the pattern has been broken by COVID and the shutdowns that followed.

UGC recruitment – qualification:

  1. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or similar from organisations approved by the UGC.
  2. The Humanities (containing languages), Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, and Electronic Science qualifying exams must be cleared.
  3.  For applicants, the minimum required grade point average was 55%, while for pupils in the reserved category, it was 50%.
  4. Applicants who are enrolled in their last master’s semester can indeed register.
  5. Owners of a Ph.D. are given a 5% score comfort overall. Such applicants must successfully finish a Master’s degree test by September 19, 1991.

UGC recruitment – eligibility criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the applicants are very simple. They have to pass all the educational qualifications that are required and go through the age limit which is given and must be qualified enough to fill the form.

UGC recruitment – age limit:

  1. JRF: Junior Research Fellowship; maximum age: 31.
  2. The maximum age restriction is relaxed by 5 years for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD groups.
  3.  Applicants with an L.L.M. degree will be eligible for a 3-age relaxation. Applicants who have worked in the armed services are eligible for a waiver of up to five years, according to the time served up until the first day of the period whereby the relevant UGC-NET is to be held.
  4.  The total amount of age relaxation upon that aforementioned ground(s) cannot, even under conditions, exceed 5 years.
  5. There’s really no maximum age for registering to be an assistant professor under the UGC-NET programme.

UGC recruitment – application form fees:

Each category has a different application cost for the UGC NET 2022 exam. When spent, the registration cost is neither redeemable or transferrable. Payment options include e-Challan, credit/debit cards, and cash. All applicants making payments via e-Challan must deposit money in the bank. Below are the fee specifics broken down by category:

SC/ST/PwD/Transgender: Rupees. 275/- General/Unreserved: Rupees. 1100/- OBC-NCL: Rupees. 550/-

The applicant is responsible for covering all transaction fees and Goods and Services Tax (GST), if necessary.

  3. Join with your email address and mobile number.
  4. Fill out the UGC NET 2022 Registration Form correctly on the following webpage.

  6. Send the form in together with the application fee.
