The 3rd round of NEET Counselling for 2023 commenced on August 31, 2023. Eligible candidates are invited to register on the official website, mcc.nic.in. Registration will remain open until 12 noon on September 4th, and the registration fee can be paid until 8 PM on the same day.
NEET 2023
NEET 2023 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET exam for the candidates who want to take admission in dental, medical, nursing and AYUSH courses in India. NEET exam 2023 is basically the offline mode exam which is conducted in 13 languages. Usually, NEET 2023 exam covers the subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology from grades 11-12th. NEET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum required age – The candidates must have completed their age of 17 years by December 31, 2023.
- Educational Qualification – The candidates must have passed or appeared in a 10+2 exam or equivalent exam to appear for the NEET 2023
- Nationality – The candidate should be an Indian citizen, NRI, OCI, Foreign Nationals, or PIO.
- Studies Subjects – The candidates who want to apply for the NEET 2023 exam should have studied Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English from a recognized board.
- Qualifying exam marks – The candidates should have passed with at least 50% marks in biology, physics and chemistry in the qualifying examination. For the reserved categories, the minimum marks should be at least 40%

NTA will release the NEET 2023 answer key on their official website. The NEET 2023 answer key will be available for all codes separately. The direct link to download the NEET answer key will be available on the official website i.e. neet.nta.ac.in. Also, the candidates can refer to this page to get the final NEET 2023 answer key. NEET 2023 answer key will be released with the NEET OMR sheets on the official website only. The candidates can cross-check their answers with the help of the NEET 2023 answer key. How to calculate the NEET score with help of Answer Key?

- Multiply the correct answer by 4 while the wrong answers by 1
- Now, you will have to subtract the total marks of NEET from the maximum marks which are 720.

Note – No marks will be awarded or deducted for blank answers or attempting extra questions (limit is 180 or more than 10 in section B)

NEET 2023 Result
NTA will declare the NEET 2023 result on the official website i.e. neet.nta.nic.in. NEET result will be declared in the form of scorecard. This includes the details of the candidates such as their marks, qualifying marks, AIR, 15% AIQ quota, category and much more. Along with this NEET 2023 result, they also declare the qualifying NEET cutoff scores for the candidates for all categories separately. It is also mentioned on the NEET 2023 scorecard.
NEET 2023 Cut-off
NEET cut-off 2023 is the qualifying category score announced by the National Testing Agency. This will be released along with the result on the NTA official website i.e. neet.nta.ac.in. Last year, the NEET cutoff was declared on September 7th, 2022. NEET 2023 cut-off is basically the AIQ cut-off which is the opening and closing ranks released college-wise after NEET counselling. As per last year’s patterns, the NEET 2023 cut-off for the general category can reach 50 while for the SC/OBC/ST it might be 40 and for Gen-PWD it might be 45. Tie-Breaker Criteria for NEET 2023
If 2 or more candidates obtain the equal marks then their rank will be determined with the help of following criteria. This will be the priority of the selection process –
- The candidates who scored more marks in Biology will have preferences
- Who scores higher marks in NEET Chemistry will get the priority
- Who scores higher marks in NEET Physics will get the priority
- Those who scored with less number of incorrect answers in the above priority order
NEET 2023 Counselling
MCC will release the NEET 2023 counselling schedule at mcc.nic.in. The link to participate in the NEET 2023 counselling will be available here soon after it releases. Also, NEET 2023 counselling schedule will be updated here soon after its availability. MCC counselling will be conducted for 15% AIQ seats for admission in government colleges and 100% in central universities, AIIMS, BSc Nursing and JIPMER courses on the basis of the NEET 2023 scores. The counselling process will be divided into 4 rounds such as round 1, 2 mop-up and stray vacancy rounds. The eligible candidates will have to make registration to take part in the counselling, do the choice filling and locking and college details and then pay for the same. On the basis of their choices, rank, reservation and available seats, they will be allotted.
