Chhattisgarh has a population of approximately 3 crores (30 million) with the density of 560 per square miles or 220 square kilometres according to the survey done in 2021 and is regarded as the seventeenth most or densely populated state of India. It covers approximately 52,198 square miles (135,192 square kilometre) area that is why it is regarded as the ninth largest state of the country. The state bird of Chhattisgarh is Hill myna while its mammal is buffalo (wild water). Rhynchostylis gigantea is the state flower while its tree is Shorea robusta.
