Rajasthan – it was ranked second worst state in terms of literacy rate as it scored only 69%.
Bihar – it was spotted third most bad performing state in India with reference to literacy rate and scored 70%.
Telangana- In Spite of that Telangana is a south Indian State not able to score satisfactory score in the index of literacy rate in India, it has scored 72% only.
Uttar Pradesh- Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in India and it has scored 73% in the literacy rate index as published by NSO.
